Tests d’entrée

Les évaluations auront lieu au courant du mois de février. Dès réception de la demande d’inscription, le Lycée Français de Toronto prendra contact avec la famille de l’élève pour fixer un rendez-vous pour ces évaluations.
Le résultat sera communiqué aux parents par courrier après le 15 mars 2008 et les parents doivent confirmer leur intention d’inscrire leur enfant avant le 31 mars 2008. Un premier versement (selon l’option choisie : 4 ou 12 paiements) est nécessaire pour réserver une place à la rentée.

Pour toute évaluation d’entrée, un chèque de $200, non-remboursables, est payable au nom du Lycée Français de Toronto.

LES ELEVES VENANT D’UNE ECOLE QUI SUIT DEJA LE CURSUS DEFINI PAR LE MINISTÈRE DE L’EDUCATION NATIONALE DE FRANCE, sont admis dans la classe supérieure selon les recommandations du Conseil des maîtres ou du Conseil de classe de leur établissement d’origine. Une photocopie des bulletins des deux dernières années doit impérativement accompagner la demande d’inscription au Lycée.

LES ELEVES VENANT D’UNE ECOLE QUI NE SUIT PAS LE CURSUS DEFINI PAR LE MINISTÈRE DE L’EDUCATION NATIONALE DE FRANCE (Une photocopie des bulletins des deux dernières années doit impérativement accompagner la demande d’inscription au Lycée) :

Inscription en petite section de maternelle

Les parents, accompagnés de l’élève, auront un premier entretien avec la coordinatrice du primaire. A la suite de cet entretien, ils recevront une réponse provisoire qui sera confirmée après une visite de leur enfant en classe de petite section de maternelle. Si à la suite de cette visite, l’élève venait à ne pas être choisi par l’établissement, les frais de scolarité seraient remboursés dans leur totalité.

Inscription en moyenne et grande section de maternelle

Les élèves sont invités à participer aux différentes activités lors d’une demi-journée passée dans la classe actuelle de l’élève au moment de son inscription au Lycée.

Inscription dans les classes du CP au CM2

Evaluations en français et en mathématiques d’une durée approximative de 30 à 90 minutes. Une trousse complète de mathématiques (règle, compas, rapporteur…) est requise pour les CE2, CM1 et CM2.

Inscription dans les classes du collège et du Lycée (6ème à la Terminale)

Les élèves seront évalués en français (oral et écrit), en anglais (oral et écrit) et en mathématiques (Une trousse complète de mathématiques -règle, compas, rapporteur…- est requise).

Placement tests

Tests will be taken in February. As soon as the registration office has received the application form, the LFT will get in touch with the student’s parents so as to fix an appointment regarding the evaluation.

The results will then be sent by post to the parents after March 15th, 2008 and parents will have to confirm the registering of their child before March 31st, 2008. An initial payment (choose among our two options of payment : in 4 or 12 payments) is required to ensure your child’s place at the LFT for next school year.

The payment of $200 (non-refundable administration fee) by cheque payable to the “Lycée Français de Toronto” is due to take any placement test.

Students coming from a school following the French curriculum, i.e set by the French Ministry of Education, can be registered at the LFT upon submission of their report cards (photocopies) accounting for the past two years and after official acceptance into the following grade. The official acceptance involves the consultation of the Board of Teachers or special recommendations from the student’s former school’s Board.

Students coming from a school following other curricula, i.e not set by the French Ministry of Education, can be registered at the LFT upon submission of their school cards (photocopies) accounting for the past two years which will be inserted together with the application form when returned.

Registration for Kindergarten

Parents, along with their children, will first get an interview with the Primary School coordinator. Then, right after this interview, they will get a provisional answer that will be confirmed once their has visited the kindergarten class. In case the child would end up not being selected by the school, the tuition fees would be refunded as a whole.

Registration for JK and SK

The children are invited to participate in class activities for half a day at school. This visit will be scheduled in the child’s current grade when registering at the LFT.

Registration for classes from Grade 1 to Grade 5

Students will be assessed in French and Maths in a 30-to 90-minute test. A full Maths supplies kit (including a ruler, a compass, a protractor, a flat angle bracket,etc.) is then required for Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 5 students.

Registration for Junior High School and High School

Students will be assessed in French (oral and written test ) and Maths. A full Maths supplies kit (including a ruler, a compass, a protractor, a flat angle bracket,etc.) is then required.
