Students enrolled in a school that is approved by the Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale de France:
Students are admitted according to the recommendations of the Conseil de cycle or Conseil de classe of their current school. A phone or skype interview with the school’s Principal will be scheduled for students living with a homestay family.
All other students
Assessments at LFT are standard evaluations that challenge a student’s ability in a range of subjects. On receiving your completed application form, your evaluation will be scheduled for Saturday, November 16th 2019 or Saturday, February 1st 2020. Results will be communicated in February.
Applicants to Kindergarten (Early Pre-K to Senior Kindergarten)
Parents, along with their children, will first meet with the Primary School Director and the class teacher. Children will then be invited to a one hour ‘Discovery Time’ in the classroom. The activities will be scheduled in the child’s current Grade when applying to the LFT.
Applicants to Grades 1 to 5
Students will be assessed in French and Math in a 60-to 90-minute test.
Applicants to Junior High School and High School
Students will be assessed in English and French (oral and written) and Math for approximately three hours.
